Background:
Having made cream puffs before, they tasted great but didn’t puff up as well as I had expected. After searching for a new recipe, I stumbled upon this one. This is how it went…

Cream Puffs: https://cloudykitchen.com/blog/vanilla-bean-cream-puffs/
Tips and Tricks:
- I divided all the ingredients in the recipe by 3 which made 10 cream puffs, which was plenty.
- Make the pastry cream and craquelin topping in advance
Recommendation and rating:
Overall, a nice bake! The creamy, velvety pastry cream paired with the soft shell made for a tasty bite. The craquelin on the top provided texture and I would happily go back for another puff. The only thing missing was a caramel or jam, to enlighten the flavour and provide a contrast to the vanilla of the puffs. Therefore, they get 4 stars!
