Background:
To celebrate the world cup starting this week, I thought it would be a good idea to open some fizz. Instead of drinking just plain champagne, I decided to make some cocktails. After searching the web, I stumbled upon these two…..

Recipes:
Blueberry Lemosa: https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/a58461/blueberry-lemosas-recipe/
Kir Royale: https://www.inspiredtaste.net/8077/kir-royale/
Tips and Tricks:
- Prepare the blueberry syrup for the Lemosa well in advance to allow for it to cool
- I swapped the lemonade for tonic water in the Lemosa and it still tasted good
- For the Kir royale, I dropped blueberries in each glass instead of raspberries as I had them to hand
Recommendation and Rating:
Overall, two great drinks! The Lemosa was definitely my favourite as it was sweeter. But both had crisp berry notes which paired well with the bubbliness of the champagne. They didn’t require too much effort to make and both had a solid flavour. Therefore, they get 4 stars!
