Background:
One of my favourite snacks at the minute is a cheese scone! I love the savoury flavour of them, which makes you go back for more! But after looking and realising that a lot of butter goes into making them, I decided to find a healthier recipe. After stumbling upon this one that uses no butter, I decided to give it a go!

Recipes:
Cheese scones: https://thegardeningfoodie.com/yogurt-cheese-scones/
Tips and Tricks:
- Using a handful of chives works well
- Make the scones quite tall 3/4cm thick to allow for easy slicing after baking
- I set the oven to 170° fan and baked the scones for just over 30 mins and they turned out a nice golden brown
Recommendation and rating:
Overall, what a treat! Of course, I’m slightly biased as I love cheese scones, but these were tasty! The soft pillowy inside, the tangy cheese top, and complimentary chives, what’s not to like! Albeit it did remind me slightly of a cheese croquet, which isn’t a bad thing but I wish they rose more in the oven. You can make them taller which does help but aesthetically it’s not quite there. However, with the recipe not containing butter it’s a huge plus and makes it a healthier snack. Overall, they were a high 4 stars!
