Backstory:
Sometimes great recipes stem from exchanging ideas with others, and this one came from a friend’s recommendation. I’m glad I gave it a go, as although it looks like a monster slab, the flavours within are delicate and well balanced.

Recipes:
Apple Cinnamon Bread: https://simplybakeblog.com/apple-cinnamon-bread/
Tips and Tricks:
- I tweaked the recipe slightly by adding in a 1/4 cup of cocoa powder to the dry ingredients
- Fold the batter well as I manged to get a few lumps of flour in the final loaf
- Best served slightly warm
Recommendation and Rating:
Overall, it’s a great recipe! It’s relatively easy to make and very tasty. The chunks of apple provide little bursts of sweetness, while the spices give it an autumnal feel. It’s a soft loaf and very comforting with a hot drink in hand. You could try adding in stem ginger or some nuts to the loaf for extra texture, but overall, this recipe gets 4 stars!
