Backstory:
While brainstorming ideas for a club baking session, I wanted to make something beyond the traditional muffins, cookies or cake pops. After researching a wide variety of options, almost settling on scones, I stumbled upon this recipe. It had multiple elements, looked tasty and was coffee flavoured which I knew would appease most! After making the recipe a few times, it has been well liked and so I decided it was finally time to include it on the blog!

Tips and Tricks:
- Top them with melted chocolate for a luxurious feel to the bake
- If desired use expresso instant coffee for a stronger flavour
- Take your time piping the cream filling
Recommendation and Rating:
Overall, it was a crowd-pleaser! The complementary coffee flavours in both the shell and buttercream harmonize perfectly, while the chocolate further balances this ensemble. It’s a joy to make, very tasty, and with the chocolate topping, it easily earns five stars!
