Churros

Backstory:

I haven’t met many who would turn down a churro! They’re just such a beloved street food; so it was a total no-brainer that I’d choose them for a club baking session! After searching for a recipe, I came across this one and they turned out great!

Tips and Tricks:

  • Keep an eye on the churro whilst frying as the batter cooks quickly
  • Prep toppings in advance for quick coating after frying
  • They’re best served warm

Recommendation and Rating:

Overall, what’s there not to like? Fried dough, chocolate, and cinnamon sugar make for a tried and tested combination. The sweet sugar, paired with the soft yet crispy fried dough, mellows perfectly against the freshly heated chocolate. They are a crowd-pleaser and very easy to make. Because the base recipe is so simple, it can be adapted with lots of different shapes and toppings. On that note, it gets a solid 4 stars!
